My First Blog....Ever

I'm writing this blog as I'm watching the news of the horrifying incident in Mumbai where Terrorists waged a war against the city known never to sleep which btw also left the rest of India awake. More than 2 days and God alone knows when this is going to stop.

Anyways my blog "Waste of Time" is just a simple platform to pen down my thoughts(mostly dumb n stupid i guess). With no work because of Thanksgiving in US of A and my Roommate off to attend his Brothers wedding, I'm stuck at home with not much to do. I'm bored, sick of watchin gunshots and grenade attacks in Mumbai.People my age would have used this time constructively, I end up creating Blog which I'm not even sure people will read.
I ended up spending an hour thinking about a good title for my Blog, googled a lot for a suitable title, but then i realised i was wasting time and there you go... I have the name for my Blog.. Gosh I sometimes wish i was a lil more smarter . Anyways now since i have the title and all ready.. The Big Question? Why should i Blog? and what should i write?

The one thing which comes straight away on my mind is because i have a 24 hrs internet connection and i think a lot. Not that i have spare time to think but i think a lot when i'm busy. It keeps me going that way.

Well let me just brief you about myself a bit then, I was born and brought up in Kerala but our roots go all the way back to Kutch. so basically not a Mallu(thats the short for people who come from Kerala), we speak Kutchi at home. It doesnt have any script btw. Seems like my forefathers came came and settled in alleppy and Cochin to do business. They had some kinda garment business back then.I work in Bangalore as a Financial Analyst which caters to the US firms. Thats the saddest part of my life right now...Night Shift!!. I hate night shifts. it completely changes your timing and your lifestyle.but the extra buck we earn keeps me going. I seriously think money is a damn good motivator. I really dont give a shit about ppl (esp my managers) who say money is secondary and Its the growth you have to see in a company .... blah blah blah. I dont give a hoot to what they say. True, growth should be there but c'mon you are not doing charity there. You are ultimately working to feed your stomach. I seriously think Managers play a very vital role in any company. Somebody has rightly said.
"You don't change Jobs, you change Managers"
